When To Use A Wiki

My personal interests include collecting MI Hummell figurines and German & Polish glass Christmas ornaments. I found out that wikis are a great source of information about collectibles. You can quickly find pictures of objects, descriptions, dates, where to purchase items and more. Another major interest of mine is investing in stocks. What I also discovered is that I would never use a public investing wiki. Too many people could place bogus information about companies or their products on an investing wiki and the reader would have no idea whether it was true. Also, the reader would be clueless about the credentials of a poster. I think the financial services sector is one place where a wiki would not work.
